All work

Seventy-three percent more sessions. In a month. Unfinished, on purpose.

Problem

A Shopify bag store that needed more of the right people on the site, fast — sales were the goal, sessions were the first move.

Work
  • Shopify SEO on products, collections, and the store itself
  • Facebook ads running alongside the organic work
  • Tracking sessions as the leading indicator while the brief was still open

BagsBes was a Shopify store with a simple brief: increase sales. February to March 2024. United States, remote, a two-month contract.

Within the first month, sessions were up 73%. That number is theirs, from Shopify analytics, while we were still in the work. I am printing it because it is the one they handed me, not because I went looking for a prettier one later.

The work was store SEO, product SEO, collection SEO, and Facebook ads. Organic and paid in the same month, pointing at the same catalogue. That is how you move sessions that fast on a store that isn't already famous. It is also why I will not pretend the 73% was "pure SEO". It wasn't. It was the mix the brief asked for.

We had not finished. I wrote that at the time, and it is still the honest line. A session is a visit. A sale is a sale. The contract ended before the story did.

If you want a case that shows a hockey stick and a bow on it, this isn't that. If you want what month one actually looks like on a Shopify store with ads and SEO in the same room, this is it.

We hadn't finished. Session growth is not a sale. Ads and SEO were running in parallel, and a month is a leading indicator, not a case closed.
